Scope and Content
To daughter Margaret £100 out of a half yardland at Higham Ferrers, Gunstick and Mortar pit pieces, and Swan’s path piece in Rushden meadow; several pieces of common meadow called Pullyford’s piece near Higham Bridge; White willows piece in Irthlingborough, called St. Peter’s grass; all held by lease of Queen Catherine.
To daughter Judith above lands in satisfaction of debt of £110, on cancellation of relevant bond.
To daughters Judith and Susan Malt mill and house; 9 short doles of meadow near Ditchford Bridge, Rushden; and lands below charged with annuity to Margaret.
To daughter Margaret another £100 to be paid from share in Higham water mills and meadows and in the old Dam piece, the little Rowholme and the common malt mill in Higham and Rushden, and in the windmill and 3 lands in Rushden fields upon which the mill stands; also another £100 to be paid on decease of Sarah Draper, wife of Richard Draper of London, merchant, out of share in Ditchford mills and in 3 holmes nearby in Irchester; and also out of share in farm where John Fox lives at Knoston, Irchester, and cottage thereto belonging; and also out of share in Nowborrowes farm, Bozeat, and in 5 or 6 cottages thereto belonging, devised to testator by will of brother Alexander Orlebar, in reversion after death of Sarah Draper.
To wife Elizabeth and daughters Judith and Susan property above. (Daughter Margaret is to receive £500 yearly).
To daughter-in-law Elizabeth and to her daughter Elizabeth 20 shillings to buy ring.
To sister Orlebar of Harrold and to her 3 sons and daughter Mary 10 shillings each for rings.
To sister Mulso, cousin Thomas Mulso, Cos. Simon Gray, 20 shillings apiece for rings.
Small monetary bequests to:- granddaughters Anne Carryer and Rebecca Orlebar; brother John Orlebar and his son; to Orlebar Wilson, Matthew Orlebar and wife and their 2 sons and 2 daughters; to Orlebar Wilson (sic) and 3 brothers Ralph, Thomas, and Isaac, and sisters Margaret, Judith, Susan; to sister Fisher and her daughter Margaret; to Edmund Cobb, vicar of Podington.
To poor of Podington £3. To servants 5 shillings apiece. To tenants of Hinwick 10 shillings apiece.
To wife Elizabeth executrix residue.
