  • Scope and Content
Dear Mr Walters, You wrote to me some months ago inviting me to see you at Turk's Island. I must apologise for not having acknowledged your letter before but I have had continual difficulty in making arrangements about our trip and more latterly about getting home again! I am sorry that it does not look as if it will be possible to come to Turk's Island to see you. I appreciate that you have written me so fully about your work. The Baptist Missionary Society of course is deeply concerned about missionary work in many parts of the world and in recent years there has been renewed interest in Jamaica and Trinidad. Much as I should have liked to have visited you, I do not think it would be right to raise your hopes and let you think that I shall be able to come. The total time that we shall spend in the whole of the West Indies is only seven weeks and I am afraid we shall have to confine our activity to Trinidad and Jamaica. I shall always be interested in the work that you are doing, having been in touch with you. Kind regards. Yours truly, H C Janes.
