  • Scope and Content
Dear Mr Poupard, I spoke to you a week or two ago about my proposed visit to the West Indies. I have booked a passage on the "Colombie" for December 27th. I have booked through to Jamaica but I very much want to see Trinidad and I am considering whether it would be better for us to get off the boat at Trinidad and go on to Jamaica later. I have not booked any return passage yet - I am leaving that until I have worked out the details of my visit. My wife and I are going to the West Indies primarily for a holiday but I cannot, as regards B.M.S. people, be anonymous, apart from which I am most anxious while I am there to see something of our work. In Jamaica they are thinking about me laying a Foundation Stone or something of the sort. I only mention that because I must fairly soon arrange a programme and you cannot lay Foundation Stones on any day you like. I do not know whether I shall go across to British Guiana while I am in Trinidad, But I had some thought of that and also that I might go to British Honduras when I am in Jamaica. At the moment I am not so much concerned about either going to these places or my means of return, as I am in fitting in with affairs in Trinidad and Jamaica. I wondered whether you could make some suggestions as I am so ignorant of the means of travel and other affairs. Any help or advice you can give will be appreciated. With kind regards. Yours truly, H C Janes
