. Dear Herbert, Regarding your wire, "Book by Orford" I booked this morning and berth (single) is No 382 on "E" deck on the same side as the one chosen for you. I have asked for the cost of Itinerary A1 but have altered the time of leaving Austrailia to April 20th (about). This would give us sixteen days in Austrailia and twenty three in New Zealand. I notice in Pickford's estimate for Tour A1 (under "rates" they state that the price quoted is "inclusive of meals and sleeper on rail across Canada". Mr Boulton thinks this is a mistake, as meals and sleeping accomodation are usually paid separately by the Tourist. Perhaps you will have this verified. Do not forget to put Mary on your passport, by the bye, the latter will have to be visaered by the Americal Consul, to allow entry into New York. Expect Pickford's Agent has given you information regarding suitable clothing etc for the trip, but if you like I shall be glad to send you a list of requisites in accordance with my previous travelling experiences. Have enclosed your papers. Wishing you all a very Happy New Year, yours sincerely, Sam
