Scope and Content
In Silena's hand. mainly concerned with winding up his father's estate, and other financial and business affairs. Many of the letters are attempts to rid himself of his father's creditors. The City of London Lay Stalls occupy much space: they were held on lease by Richard How I and managed by E Fogg; Richard II sold the lease to Fogg. There are a few family letters (eg to his uncle Herman Hingsberg), but these again are mainly concerned with financial affairs. The correspondents' names are included in the index.
