    said and affirmed that he well remembered that many years ago one John Tyringham sometime of Tyringham, Bucks, Esq., son and heir of Elianore, sister and heiress of John Pabenham atte Tyrinham, showed him a deed which as he confessed at the time gave lawful title of inheritance of the whole manor of Pabenham, Beds., to the said John Tyringham as cousin and heir of the said John Pabenham [i.e. son and heir of Elianor, sister and heir of John Pabenham]. As he remembered also the content and tenor of the said deed was that one Sir Laurens of Pabenham, father of John Pabenham and Elianor, had in his life time caused his feoffees to grant the said manor of Pavenham to one Laurens of Pabenham his elder son and to Joan his wife to hold to them and their heirs, remainder to said John Pabenham his younger son and heirs forever.
