    Thomas Smith, Oakley, labourer, aged 80 yrs or more: has lived in Oakley all life except for 15 years during which he was serving as a soldier; remembers Charles Hulatt who occupied Pavenham mill; that Thomas Hulat was the eldest son & heir of Charles Hulat, and often gave him money to keep the cows out of the rushes growing near the mill which he had the right of cutting; that Thomas Hulatt married Susannah, a sister of Stocker Risley, formerly Pavenham, now of Nothampton; William Hulatt was the eldest son of Thomas & Susannah; Charles, Thomas, & William Hulatt are all deceased.
