Scope and Content
It is not possible to distinguish with certainty to which property the mediaeval deeds relate; but as the names Mavron, Glyntils and Highomes do not occur, the mediaeval deeds are here attributed to the land which is later known (from the 16th century More family) as Moore's Farm.
Woodend was formerly a detached part of the parish of Pertenhall, until added to Bolnhurst by order of the Local Government Board 1877.
