He signs by mark. 3) John Caryer, the Elder of Potton, Woollen Draper Recites Mortgage in £20 with lawful interest (by Lease for 500 Years) 1) Elizabeth Swetman of Stratford, Sandy, Widow (Mortgagor) 2) William Pedley then of Sutton, Yeoman 25 August 1733 Recites Mortgage in £10 with lawful interest Same parties 23 April 1737 Recites that on the death intestate of Elizabeth the property passed to her son Seth Swetman Recites Mortgage in £6 with lawful interest 1) Seth Swetman (Mortgagor) 2) William Pedley (Mortgagee) 16 March 1742(1743) Recites Conveyance of property below with other lands by Seth Swetman to 2) above for £55 of which £36 was paid to 1) in discharge of the Mortgages Cottage & three half acres of arable land in Stratford in Sandy Parish Consideration 5s paid as Lease is assigned by 1) to 3) in trust for 2) Witnesses: Henry Rudd and Samuel Luke.
