    A) 7A,3R,6P Copyhold of the Manor of Langford 1) Certificate to Steward of the Manor of Langford of Mortgage in £200 (Out of Court Surrender 1827) (Interest of 5%) i) Peregrine Piper of Henlow (later of Langford) (dead by 1878) (Mortgagor) ii) William Kent of Biggleswade, Gent (Mortgagee) 6A of arable in Langford Four Pieces in Sand Field (1A,2R,4P) Three Pieces in Middle Field (1A,3R,9P) Five Pieces in Holme Field (2A,2R,27P) Pightle of Pasture (3R) All of which P.Piper was admitted tenant on the Surrender of Sir John Everitt in 1810. Parcels of Arable land etc in Langford (estimated 9åA but measured as 6A) All of which P.Piper was admitted tenant on the Surrender of Henry Bean in 1820. Admission of Edmund Piper in succession to his father P.Piper, deceased Piece of Pasture ground or Arable land "Scroops", Langford (10A) with two Cottages or tenements with outbuildings etc, purchased by P.Piper from Sir John Everitt Piece of land in Midsummer Meadow (1A,IR,11P) allotted to P.Piper in lieu of a right in Ashford Meadow on the enclosure of Langford (Ashford Meadow since sold to Robert Lindsell) Yearly Rents given 19 July 1838 C) "As to all the premises" 1) Conveyance i) Edmund Piper of Langford, Farmer; Samuel Bryant of Langford, Husbandman (formerly Blacksmith) (Executors of the Will of Peregrine Piper) ii) Said Edmund Piper (in own right and as Administator of his brother Thomas, deceased) iii) William Piper of Langford, Innholder iv) William Paget of West Street, Soho, London, Builder & his wife, Elizabeth (formerly wife of Robert Isherwood, deceased; before that Elizabeth Piper, Spinster) v) John Cooper of Langford , Farmer, administrator of his wife, Mary (formerly Mary Piper), Spinster. (Vendors) vi) Robert Lindsell of Biggleswade vii) William Kent, late of Biggleswade, then of Farndon Road, Newark, Nottinghamshire viii) William Piper (Purchaser) recites Peregrine Piper of Langford, Victualler & Yeoman (Copyhold tenant of land in Schedule 1) & 2) recites Mortgage to vii) above in 1827, enrolled as above in 1834 Mortgages lands of the Manor of Langford as above (not enrolled) also in £200 Mortgage in £200 to vi)all of above lands Total Mortgage Liability: £600; documents deposited with vi) recites Will of said Peregrine Piper to Children: Edmund, William, Thomas, Elizabeth and Mary Copyholds: Schedules 1) & 2) to be divided between them, after having sold part of them to cover funeral costs & outstanding debts. Executors i) above Codicil to Will: above division of land only to occur after death of wife Hannah 1829. Testator died soon after. Will proved Bedford 27 June 1829 recites Mary Piper married John Cooper (party 5) above and died in 1849 recites Letters of Administration granted to husband. Bedford 1851 recites Elizabeth Piper married Robert Isherwood. He died in 1840. She has since married William Paget (party 4) recites Thomas Piper deceased 1837 as a minor, unmarried Letters of Administration granted to said Edmund as next of kin (see above 1) & 2)) recites Said wife Hannah died on 9 August 1851; no sale of any of above land in her lifetime. recites Transfer of said Mortgages from vi) & vii) to viii) in Consideration of £600. ( vi) & vii) parties above certify that they have no further claims on the property) All above copyholds described in Schedules 1) & 2) conveyed to viii).
