    a) Conveyance (by Lease & Release) 1) John Henry Duke of Rutland; Very Reverend George Gordon DD, Dean of Lincoln, the Devisees in trust under the Will of Sir William Welby of Denton, Lincolnshire (Vendors) 2) The Very Reverend Montague E. Welby of Long Bennington, Lincolnshire, Clerk (Purchaser) Reciting further transactions & agreements among the large & complicated Welby family All freehold lands, messuages,tenements and hereditaments in the Parish of Langford in the power of Sir W.E.Welby to dispose of at the time of his death Reciting the Admission of said Sir W.E.Welby to Copyhold tenements of the Manor of Langford on the Surrender of John Pateman in 1810 and the Admission of 1) under Sir W.E.Welby's Will AND Agreement by 1) to Surrender to the use of 2) Piece of Pasture (3R) (whereon Cottage of William Pateman stood) AND Piece of Pasture (3P), part of the West end of Skegg's Close AND the other lands to which 1) were admitted as tenants of the Manor under the said Will. February 1827 b) Award of Langford Enclosure Commissioners to Rev M.E.Welby One Piece in Middlefield (composed seven Allotments) abuttments: E: Parish of Biggleswade:( property of Earl Spencer) S: Earl Spencer; Edworth Way Road W: Old enclosures of Hannah Dear and S.B.Gerard & William Kent and of M.E.Welby; allotment to William Wells Gardner SW: Private Road N: Allotments William Wells Gardner & Mark Norman August 1829 c) Will of said Very Reverend Montague Welby of Allington, Lincs (died 12 October 1871) to Nephew William Earle Welby Testator's Estate at Langford (BUT subject to an Annuity of £30 pa to Ann Clay, testator's housekeeper.) to said W.E.Welby & others other property in Lincolnshire Will made 26 July 1869. Proved at The Principal Probate Registry 30 November 1871 d) Conveyance 1) William Earle Welby of Aston, near Derby; Thomas Fowke Andrew Barnaby of Newark upon Trent, Notts 2) J.E.Welby of Allington, Lincolnshire 3) Godfrey Tallants of Newark upon Trent, Notts Reciting Will of Reverend M.E.Welby above Messuages, Farms, Tenements etc of which only part is abstracted in this Schedule Messuage, Farmhouse, farm lands & tenements, Parish of Langford in the occupation of Edmund Prior or his undertenants (113A) AND Messuage or Tenement, nearby in the Parish of Langford, in the occupation of Richard Phipps or his undertenants with land or ground adjoining (5A) And other Messuages, farms, land and hereditaments in Bedfordshire not specifically devised by Will of the said M.E.Welby's Will to said W.E.Welby for life.
