Letter (2 sheets) from Wilfred Hammond, marked: 8064 Cpl. W Hammond, 4th Syndicate, 41st Divl. Trench Warfare School, BEF, France. Dear People Just a short note to let you know where I am at present. I know you will be pleased to hear that I am well back of the line for a month’s course at the above school. There are two of us out of our Battalion and we are looking forward to a decent month of parades but certainly a rest from the line. So for a month you can sit tight and leave off worrying. Send any letters to above address until about the 1st April and then continue with the old address. Please send over a 10/- note in your next letter and then we shall be alright. I have received all your parcels and thank you for same. The pie was very good. Don’t send any more coca powder, thanks for I don’t need it much and it does not mix very well. Finish, Wilf.
