- TitleProbate (copy) of Edmund Morgan of Bedford, esquire: to be buried at Cardington near late mother; to wife Elizabeth the messuage in Bedford where testator dwells, while widow, then to nephew Matthew Morgan of Cardington, blacksmith; also to nephew Matthew for life Dairy Farm at Cotton End occupied by John Kirby, public house occupied by Matthew Hawkins, victualler, 2 pightles called Holdings leased to Thomas Brimley, and 2 cottages; then to trustees William Webb of Bedford, draper, and Richard Lovesey of Bedford, gentleman, for Matthew's 1st, 2nd etc son, or failing such to nephew Edmund Morgan; to trustee his other farm at Cotton End to raise annuity of £30 per annum for wife Elizabeth and £20 for brother Matthew; wife to have 200 faggots yearly, and gold watch and chain, and house goods; residue (if any) to nephew Edmund, and to be settled on his 1st, 2nd etc son; to brother Matthew £6 for mourning (and if he doesn't wear it for 6 months, his annuity to be cancelled); to servant Elizabeth Wheatley £3 for mourning and £10 and gold ring; to Richard Lovesey £10 for mourning.
