    1) Copy of Court Roll of Manor of Biggleswade - out of court surrender by Robert Lindsell of Biggleswade, Esq., as surviving trustee of will of William Hughes to use of Samuel Berry of Biggleswade, butcher Messuage or tenement and shop with yard, garden etc belonging in Holme Street or Langford Street on the ground or site of which there was formerly standing a messuage used as the George Inn, Biggleswade (burnt down, in place of which present messuage etc sometime since built) abuttments: east: Langford Street south: messuage late Richard Leach and then late of William Hughes north: yard of garden of Swan Inn (premises occupied by Richard Leach, afterwards of Richard Harman, since of William Hughes, and then of Samuel Berry) (Robert Lindsell and George William Monck - since deceased, admitted as trustees of will of William Hughes 16 & 17 Apr 1822) AND toft or piece of land in Biggleswade, formerly purchased by William Leach from Robert Christy and Ann his wife containing in front next Langford Street 25 ft 7 ins and in length next the house and premises formerly of Elizabeth Tingey, widow, messuage described above 37ft 5 ins and in breadth at the west and next the yard belonging to above messuage 18 ft 8 ins and on south side next to gateway, formerly of Elizabeth Tingey, 38ft 10 ins AND warehouse since converted into a messuage or dwellinghouse which was built by Richard Leach on part of ground above, ranging along the front part next Langford Street AND building called the Washhouse adjoining to back part of said messuage AND toft or piece of ground in Biggleswade theretofore called the George Inn yard, adjacent to premises above in length 21ft, breadth 16 ft), formerly purchased of Thomas Hart and Ann his wife AND warehouse or stable erected, formerly in the occupation of Richard Leach, afterwards of Richard Harman, since of William Hughes, then late of Ann Hughes, deceased and then of John Green and Samuel Berry AND toft or piece of ground in Holme Street, Biggleswade (formerly purchased by William Hughes of John Foster Esq (17 poles), formerly in the occupation of Robert Owen, afterwards of Benjamin Ryland or his tenants, since of John Foster and then late of William Hughes abuttments: east: road to Langford south: Bear public house west & north: premises described above AND corn shops or warehouses built by William Hughes on part of piece of land ranging along the front next Langford Street then also in the tenure of Samuel Berry (Robert Lindsell previously admitted as surviving trustee under will of William Hughes) 1 May 1840 2) Mortgage in £2000 i) Samuel Berry (mortgagor) ii) Edward John Masters of Eyeworth, farmer and Waters Masters of Wrestlingworth, farmer (mortgagees) 30 Dec 1863 3) Acknowledgement a further £300 had been advanced 18 Nov 1868 4) Conditional surrender by Samuel Berry (mortgagor) to use of Edward John Masters and Waters Masters 30 Dec 1863 5) Will of Samuel Berry of Clay Farm, Sutton, farmer (died 2 Oct 1881). Appoints wife Isobel Mary and his sons Williams Thomas and Samuel Frederick Berry to be executors. Residue to 3 executors above as trustees for sale made 1873 codicil revokes appointment of Samuel Frederick Berry as executor, and appoints Alfred Munn Berry in his place. 29 Nov 1880 Will proved Northampton District Probate registry 7 Dec 1881 6) Warrant to enter up satisfaction issued by Waters Masters (mortgagee) to steward of Manor of Biggleswade. Recites death of Edward John Masters 27 Jul 1879. principal and interest paid. 9 Mar 1886 7) Copy of Court Roll of Manor of Biggleswade. Admission of Samual Berry's executors 29 Apr 1886 8) Copy of Court Roll of Manor of Biggleswade. Surrender by Samual Berry's executors to use of Robert Thompson Berry of Biggleswade, butcher. Admission of Robert Thompson Berry 29 Apr 1886 10) Mortgage in £800 i) Robert Thompson Berry (Mortgagor) ii) Theodolinda Elizabeth Mary Twiss, wife of William Christopher Twiss (mortgagee) a) Messuage or tenement and shop with yard, garden, outbuildings etc on west side of Hitchin Street, Biggleswade (this street used to be called Holme Street or Langford Street) on a frontage of 65ft (then in occupation of Robert Thompson Berry) b) AND messuage or dwellinghouse with the outbuildings etc on west side of Hitchin Street adjoining above (then in the occupation of Mrs Goodship) AND common right 81 in the Fen Reeves books 13 Jan 1887 11) Conditional surrender by Robert Thompson Berry (Mortgagor) to use of Theodolinda Elizabeth Mary Twiss (mortgagee) 13 Jan 1887 12) Warrant to enter up satisfaction on Court Rolls of Manor of Biggleswade by Theodolinda Elizabeth Mary Twiss (mortgagee) to steward.
