Scope and Content
1) Mortgage in £500 by lease for 1000 years and lawful interest.
i) Charles Pryor of Biggleswade, ironmonger, mortgagor
ii) Joseph Lucas of Upper Tooting. Surrey, Esquire
Messuage or tenement and shop in Biggleswade fronting towards the Market Place containing in length towards the front from east to west 54ft, and in depth at the east end extending backwards to the messuage, then or late in the occupation of George Larkins, blacksmith, 16ft 6ins and at the west end extending back to the blacksmith's shop then or late of George Larkins, 16ft 6ins AND privy belonging (then in occupation of Charles Pryor) AND cellar then or late in occupation of George Larkins lying under the cellar, AND all privies etc., especially liberty to draw water from pump standing in front of messuage, then lately conveyed to George Larkins. (Equal contribution to its maintenance).
