    rectites surrender by 1) to use of 2) 5 sep 1866 customary copyhold messuage, cottage or tenement, High Street, Biggleswade, formerly in the occupation of John Beaumont, since in several tenures or occupations of Mary Beaumont, widow, John Foster and James Wells, afterwards of Henry Cook. Premises now rebuilt and are now in occupation of James Howe AND room built over the gateway at the side of the passage AND right of common for one horse, two cows and a breeder (No 52 in Fen Reeves book) (Docura admitted 30 Apr 1841) AND malting, Biggleswade, with the barley and malt chambers, warehouses, stable and large yard adjoining on south side AND right of entrance from Market Hill through the gateway above. Formerly in occupation of John Beaumont and John Foster, afterwards James Weston and (a small part) of Messes Marsh and Cook. Now occupied by James Howe abuttments: part north: messuage above (to which the malting formerly belonged); other part of north - messuage now or late of William Marsh rest of nort: part of public house called the Catherine Wheel east: malting formerly in occupation of messrs Brooks and now property of Charles Dalton and in occupation of Farmer south: back of Old Meeting House Lane west: premises now or late of John Ryland witness: Edward Leeds Smith of Sandy.
