Copy Memorandum of Agreement i)Mrs Margaret Ruston, of Surrey, widow, Gertrude Mary Holme, wife of John Holme of Manchester and Sarah Adair of Whitehaven, spinster ii)Allerdale Coal Company Ltd. i) leases to ii) the coal known as the Lickbank Seam within and under the close of land named Felmrigg in Great Broughton, Cumberland. ii) paying i) half yearly for coal obtained a royalty rent of two pence farthing for each ton of 2,240 lbs or portion. Proper accounts to be rendered on 31st March and 30th September of coal wrought and brought to bank.
