    Of Trustees of will of Sir Thomas Cage Saunders Sebright 1] Will of Sir John Saunders Sebright (died 23 Feb 1794; buried at Flamstead of Beechwood, Herts, Bart. All just debts, funeral expenses, legacies (except £4.000 set aside for younger children's portions and except Annuities specifically charged on Beds and Herts estates should be charged on personal estate. Uses power under marriage settlement to grant addit jointure of £300, pa to wife Dame Sarah Sebright £ 4000 as addit portions on estates in Worcstershire and Salop. Wife £200 p a for life charged on Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire estates.Wife £1000 within a month of testator's death. To daughters Harriet and Mary Anna £4000 in addit to marriage portions if latter dies unmarried under 21 her share reverts to residue of estate.2] Lease and Release (deed barring entail) 1) John Saunders Sebright (son) then Sir John of Beechward, Bart. 2) Thomas Cage Saunders Sebright of Beechwood, Esq. Manor of Beechwood, Alias Beckeswood otherwise St. Gyles in the Wood, Herts. AND Manor of Rectory of Flamstead AND Manor of Woodmanley Alias Blackwells, Whipsnade, Beds Capital Messuage or mansion called Beechwood, Flamstead, Herts, Outhouses, stables, buildings, park, garden and pleasure gardens, and all other freehold Manors, messuages farms etc. in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, 20 & 21 Sep 1837. [NB re Manor of Woodmanley see VCH III page 456. The property clearly came to the Seabrights through Anne heiress of Thomas Saunders of Beechwood who married Sw? Edward Sebright in 1688, see Burke's Peerage] 3]Lease & Release (Trust Deed) 1) Sir John Saunders Sebright, Thomas Gage Saunders Sebright (Beneficiaries) 2) Rt Hon Earl of Harewood, John Gage, the younger of Eaton Place, Middlesex, Esq (Trustees), property as above, except all other freehold Manors messuages and farms specify that they lie in the parishes of Flamstead, Studham, Gaddesden, Whipsnade, Harpenden, Houghton Regis and Caddington. To each of daughters clear annuity of £150 p a for life or until marry, 2nd son Thomas Saunders Sebright £3,500 and clear annuity of £50 p a for life ,3rd son Edward Amherst Saunders Sebright £4,000 and clear annuity of £50 p a for life, several annuities to servants for life, amount to £115 p a . Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Estates to pay depts if personnal estate insufficient. Manors etc in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire to Edward Knight of Wolverley, Worcestershire, Esq (wife's brother) and Elborough Woodcock of Lincoln's Inn, Middlesex for 600 years on trust. Firstly to John Saunders Sebright for life then to testator's friends Charles Pierrepont of Thoresby, Notts and Charles Churchill of Lower Grosvenor Street, Middlesex, Esq as trustees to preserve contingent remainders. To use of 1st and other sons in entail male. Ultimate reversion to testator's right heirs.Knight etc. to pay annuities out of Rents and profits. Household goods, furniture, plate, glasses, pictures, china. linen and books (except those he had previously given to his wife) At Beechwood should be considered HEIRLOOMS and go along with house. To Mrs Eizabeth Watkins if in his service at time of his death £20 legacy and to her and all other menial servants not receiving an annuity one years's wages above what due to them at testator's decease. Appt. wife, eldest son John Saunders Sebright and Edward Knight, executors, made 12 Aug 1793, proved P.C.C 10 Mar 1794. To Sir John for life, then to Trustees, to preserve contingent Remainders to use of Thomas Gage Saunders Sebright, power for Sir John Saunders Sebright to charge estates with £800 jointure for any woman he might marry. Power for Thomas Gage Saunders Sebright and William Sebright Lascelles Claude G. William Lascelles and Edwin Agur Lascelles to raise £1200 jointure for any woman Thomas Gage Saunders marries. Grover/Grower. 2) John William Gage ) William Sebright Lascelles (now acting Trustees) 29 Jul 1843 6) Will of Sir Thomas Gage Saunders Sebright (died 28 Aug 1864), to Hon Edwin Lascelles of Belgrave Square, Middlesex (3rd surviving son of Earl of Harewood and Thomas Lloyd Barwick Baker of Hardwick Court, Glous, Esq. As Trustees to pay annuity secured by his Covenant to Trustees of Mrs Beckford Bevan, which failed by decease of Annuitant in lifetime of testator and annuitees by codicil. All real estate, in trust for son (now Sir) John Gage Saunders Sebright and assigns. Power to raise jointures for £1000 p a for wife, younger children portions of £12000 power of tenant for life to call on Trustees to sell pt or whole. First must use money to reduce encumbrances of estate. Appoints wife Dame Olivia Elizabeth Mary Ann Saunders Sebright, his sister Octavia Eleanor Saunders Sebright and Hon. William Sebright Lascelles executors, made 22 Mar 1851. Codicil. Annuities to be paid out of real estate except Beechwood Estate. New Executors sister Octavia as above and brother in law Hastings Reginald Yelverton C.B. Rear Admiral in Royal Navy. Further bequests. Every child not possessing Testator's Real Estates £300 pa. Miss Fanny Hoffman £200 pa, Julie Bienvenue, children's nurse £40 pa, William Harvey, his Butler £50 pa, William Briggs, his groom £50 pa, Christian Dunbar, his groom £50 pa, last 5 to be paid free of legacy duty. Trusts for sale should overreach Annuities. Codicil made 25 Feb 1864.
