- TitleAerial view from the south looking north with: Ridgmont Station in the foreground; the brickworks in the centre; Brogborough village in the middle distance; going north eastwards into the distance: Common Farm Claypit (clay extraction appearing to have ceased) and Marston Park Farm Claypit in the top right hand corner of the photograph. Also visible is the narrow gauge railway linking the claypits to the brickworks; the B557 (now A421) and various footpaths in the vicinity of Brogborough, the brickworks and Ridgmont Station. The photograph illustrates the whole cycle of brick production from clay extraction, the manufacture of the bricks and the dispatch of the finished product. It was probably taken for exhibition purposes in conjunction with the publication by the County Planning Department of the Bedfordshire Brickfield Planning Appraisal in 1967 [PL/Pu/CB1]
