    Parties: (i) Gerard de Braybrok, knight; (ii) John Golde of Etone Operative Part: - (i) granted (a) to (ii): (i) to have and to hold the wardship until the marriage or the forfeiture of the marriage if he does not marry, without ‘disparagement’ [matching an heir in marriage], until he attains his majority (sa(u)ns e(s)tr’ desperagee ta(u)nqe a pleyn age) from (i) and his successors… (le heyr i issuit de heyr ou heyr tanqe ascun des heyrs serro(u)nt de pleyn age). Property: (a) the wardship (garde) of all his lands and tenements in Colmworth (Colmorde), Bolnhurst, Wilden and Eton until the marriage of John, son and heir of John Chann/Chaun of Colmworth, which [estate] escheated [came or descended] to him (escheyerent) after the death of the said John Chann who, himself, held the tenements from him (i) by knight’s service. Warranty clause by the grantor and his heirs to the grantee, his heirs and executors, of the wardship, marriage and forefeiture against all men (contre to(u)tes gentes).
