- Scope and ContentLandulph Parsonage, near Saltash, Cornwall. Your letter received before my confinement. I was confined on 19th June of a little girl. We have named her Eleanora Anne Julia, the two latter names after her Godmothers Anne Grubb and Miss Bree. Papa [Rev Thomas Milnes] has been in Leamington. Is Northorpe Palmer in the land of the living, likewise Mrs. Samuel Wells? Did Hester in Leicestershire get acquainted with a Mr. and Mrs. Humfrey, Charlotte Costobadie that was? We may take this curacy as Mr Bree is about to give it up on account of a recent domestic affliction, the loss of his wife who died of grief for the loss of her two eldest daughters - a Yorkshire family. Miss Ellen keeps me very busy. [This is not deposited at the Record Office - for information only.)
