    1a) Sir Robert Chernock, Holcott, Beds., kt. 1b) St John Chernock, esquire, son and heir apparent of 1a 1c) Humphrey Monnox, Wootton, esq. 1d) Robert Hewett, Ampthill Grange, esq. 2) Richard Barlee, London, gent. reciting a deed of 4 November 15 Chas I 1639 between i) Sir Robert Chernock ii) Francis Earl of Bedford, since deceased, Oliver Earl of Bolingbroke, William Viscount Grandison, James Fiennes esq., son and heir of Viscount Say and Seale iii) St John Chernocke and Adria his wife, then Adria Villiers, a daughter of Sir William Villiers of Brooksby, Leicestershire, bt., decd. by which, amongst other property, ...the manor of Clophill commonly called Aunsells Farm in Clophill and appurtenances which Sir Robert Chernocke had in Clophill, Keynoe and Maulden, heretofore purchased by Richard Chernocke esquire, grandfather of Sir Robert, and Ambrose Chernocke, his uncle ...cottage or tenement and 17 acres meadow and pasture, 6 acres arable, belonging to the manor of Bedlow now in the several occupations of Ralph Compton and William Tyrrill were limited to (ii) for 99 years or the life of (i) ASSIGNMENT (Counterpart) by (1) to (2) for remainder of term, at the request of (1a) and (1b) and to enable (1a) to pay his debts and to redeem the manor of Holcott in Holcott and Aspley out of the hands of Sir Robert Banaster Kt., who holds the mortgage, and also so that the manor of Holcott (of more value than the Clophill and Maulden property) can be settled to the same uses as had been the manor of Clophill, and also in consideration that (1a) proposes to settle the manor of Cranfield also to the same uses, ... the property as above. neither signed, witnessed nor sealed
