    Bushmead Priory, to Mrs. W Wade Gery, Revd T Brown's, Leadenham, Grantham. Sorry you have a cold. Hope your father [John Milnes] continues without pain. Last Thursday was your birthday and we had plumb pudding and drank to your health. Hester's is on the same day. Our dear boy has a cold. My mother [Hester Wade-Gery] will go to Bolnhurst - Mrs Hugh [Sophia Wade-Gery] is ill and she is fearful she is going to have the erisipulus [erysipelas]. No woodcocks in the country now. Hester [Dawson] much the same - has parted with her stupid nurse and has got Mrs Saunders. I hope I shall soon be able to come to you, but if you want me before I have administered to my father's [Hugh Wade-Gery] personal property I will come. Receipt for whipt cream with wine.
