- Scope and ContentAsking for Aunt [Dorothy] Brown's address in London, as we should like to visit before we leave. Papa is here on business. I am in hope of passing my examination at Sandhurst in the course of 6 or 8 months, after which I shall be immediately appointed to the 42nd Highlanders. Papa and Mama [Catherine/ Katherine Raynes, sister] intend remaining another fortnight in Town, when we return to Boulogne. Sister Ada is delighted with London. I am going with Papa to call upon my godfather Sir Harry Verney. (This is not deposited at the Record Office - for information only.)
