    burial in East chapel of chancel of Flitton church. - to Sophia, Duchess of Kent £2,000 for mourning, all coaches & horses, jewels worn by her, 1500 oz. silver gilt plate. - residue of plate (except that at Wrest House) to granddaughter Jemima Campbell. - all effects at Wrest House to executors in trust. - house in St. James's Sq. to Duchess for 60 yrs, then to eldest son & other sons in tail male. - to daughter Lady Mary Grey £400 p.a. until she marries, when she is to have £10,000. If no son survives him, she is to have further £200 p.a. and £5,000 on marriage. - money agreed upon marriage of Lady Ashburnham & Lady Ann Cavendish to be paid out of estate. - if no son survives, daughter Lady Sophia Grey to have £200 p.a. & £500 when she marries, above £1000 provided in previous settlement. - recites settlement at last marriage by which stocks in public funds are held in trust, & Duchess receives £400 p.a. for her lifetime. - if he has more children, executors to advance money from estate as they think fit. - Castle of Goodrich (Herts) to eldest son in tail male. - rest of estate in Herts to Duchess, to William Lord Sundon, to John Berkley & to Grey Longueville (trustees & executors) to be sold. - residue of personal estate to above trustees, to be used for purchase of freehold lands in Bedfordshire or within 20 miles, for eldest son in tail male. - trustees to have £400 each. - Duchess, then Countess of Portland, John Berkley, William Lord Sundon & Grey Longueville to be guardians of his children under 21. 29 June 1736. Codicil (1) - providing £400 p.a. for Duchess to be made up in case of deficiency in her annuity from stocks in public funds. - £5,000 to grandson John Earl of Ashburnham at age of 21. 21 June 1737. Codicil (2) - further annuity of £400 to Duchess. 28 March 1740. Codicil (3) - appointing Thomas Ld. Bishop of Oxford one of his executors - revokes £400 to be given to executors, gives them £300. 10 May 1740. Codicil (4) - £1000 bank stock to executors to secure £400 p.a. for Duchess. - £5000 to executors in trust for Duchess, & on her death for Lady Sophia Grey. 21 May 1740. Codicil (5) - £1000 to son in law John Lord Glenorchy. 22 May 1740. Codicil (6) - revokes annuities & legacies to Lady Mary Grey, gives her £10,000 + portion provided by act of parliament. 26 May 1740. Codicil (7) - pensions to servants; George Bonnafoi £20 p.a.; Christopher Minicke £16 p.a. (& to wife if she survive him); Robert Channon £10 p.a.; Rebecca Ridge £8 p.a. 27 May 1740.
