- Scope and ContentBECAUSE she has quitclaimed to him and his heirs all her title and interest of dower in all the lands etc. bequeathed to him and heirs by Richard his father, and all legacies whatsoever granted to her by said will or otherwise; The annuity to be charged upon the dwelling of Richard the father with appurtanences and other lands etc. bequeathed to Richard the son and to be paid in the porch of the parish church of Marston on the four chief feasts. COVENANT for self, heirs, executors and administrators, with Dorothie and assignees that if the annunity or any part thereof should be unpaid for 2 days after any one of said feasts it shall be lawful for Dorothie or assignees to enter and distrain and 'the distress and distresses then and there found to take lead drive carry away' and to hold until the rent of £10 with arrears if any shall be fully paid; Also that there are no other commitments or encumbrances upon the estate than the said annuity; and will be none during the life of Dorothie. FURTHER Richard has put Dorothie in seisin of said rent by delivering to her 2 pence of current English money in the name of seisin of the said rent. And Richard will warrant said annuity to Dorothie and her assignees during her life against himself and his heirs. ON DORSE: MEMORANDUM that the words 'the parish church of Marston' were written 'where yet was rased between the twelthe and thyrtenth lynes' and the words 'in the said parish of Flitton' were blotted out before the sealing and delivery hereof by the consent of both parties.
