Beckingham. Satisfied with your account of all at Bushmead, save poor Mrs [Hester] F. Dawson, whom I hope is recovering. Papa [John Milnes] planning a trip to the sea-side - Scarborough. My brothers are for the present at Lincoln. Callers: Mrs Moody, Mr and Mrs Collett of Swinethorpe, Mrs Godfrey, Miss Bastall, Dr. and Mrs Chawner. Returned with Chawners to Newark. Mr Sadler [Michael Thomas Sadler MP] giving dinner in Town Hall to his constituents. Might go to Harrowgate as Papa has been talking of shooting at the Moors. Mr and Mrs Bland. Lady Heron.
