  • Archival history
The records were obtained by the Police Museum directly from Bedfordshire Police. They were then transferred to the archives on loan in two accessions dated 2005 (accession 9591) and 2010 (10073). The Police Museum retains ownership. While cataloguing photographs were relocated into Po/PH to enable ease of access and Bedford and Luton Bylaws which were not already held by the archives into BorB and BorL respectively. These have all retained the relevent accession number. In July 2019 the Police Museum permanenly withdrew 35 volumes from the archive service. The archives retains digital copies of some of these volumes where there were no longer any data protection issues. However, enquiries regarding personnel should be addressed to the police museum ( museum@bedfordshire.pnn.police.uk ) rather than the archives service.
