Scope and Content
'That he is the occupier of a Barn at Furzen Hall Farm in the parish of Biggleswade aforesaid which adjoins and is connected with the Dwelling house of Joseph Carter but that there is no interior communication between the said Barn and dwelling house but they form with another barn one uniterrupted range of buildings - this Deponent saith that he hath no right or interest in the dwelling house but merely a right to the barn in question for the purpose of thrashing corn there - That on the night of Tuesday the 22nd day of April last past the Barn in question was broken open and, as this Deponent was informed by his servant Thomas Holland whom he had employed to thrash his corn, a sack and five bushels of Wheat were stolen therefrom and this deponent further saith that the value of the sack and wheat so stolen exceeds the sum of forty shillings.'
