    - - to son John Heaviside all estate & effects (subject to legacies viz.: - to wife Mary Heaviside £300 p.a. for life & £50 for mourning; - to sister Ann King £30 annuity for life 'over and above the Interest of £350 which I have of money in my hands', 5 per cent. p.a. interest on this to be paid her; - to sister Elizabeth Natt £30 annuity for life, and cottages & closes in parish of St. Hellens, Auckland, county Durham (Estate charged with these payments and s. to invest money as legatees approve for punctual payment.); - to Thomas Duke of Leeds, 20 guineas; - to Mr. Richard Heaviside sen., Sadler, Bishopsgate Street, London, Mr. Jn. Watson, late wine Merchant, Strand, London, Mr. Jn. Rawling sen., of Sloane Street, Knightsbridge, Mddsx., Mr. James Penrose, Hatfield, Herts., Surgeon, Rev. Thos. Marsham of Hatfield, each 5 guineas; - to Chas. De Laet Esq., of Potterills, Herts. £100. Executor: son Jn. Heaviside Witnessed: Jn Balchen, Jas. Penrose, Jas. Blith. Codicil: After deaths of sisters King & Natt annuities to cease but £100 each to 3 daughters of Ann King - Penelope, Mary, Hannah (?) after decease of surviving sister; - to another daughter of A. King, Mrs. Pillborough wife of Rev. Jn. Pilborough £5 annuity for life and £5 p.a. to her eldest son, apprentice to a Wheelwright in Ipswich, 'during his Apprenticeship to find him in Cloaths.' 28 December, 1782.
