Mr Henry Ayres rough notes on the history of the company, including newspaper cuttings and photographs. Mr Ayres had always intended to write a company history and collected many notes and documents in support of this. When Michael Lane was commissioned to write a history along the same lines as other histories he had written, Mr Ayres was willing and able to assist see AQ6/12/8A above. Mr Ayres continued to collect newspaper cuttings and other documents until depositing his collection with the rest of the company’s archives in 2006.
