- Scope and Content(aunt) Has sought for lodgings, also Mr. Cooke, in every part of West End and Oxfort Rd. We would wish to move nearer the Strand. Mr. Costobadie has had his leg laid upon a sofa over since his arrival with gout. (cousin) Papa, Mama, sisters and Ackroyd are gone to hear some music at St. Pauls. Uncle Grubbe will also made an addition to our party - he is so cheerful. I hope your Papa's [John Milnes] cold is better. I am very glad he has fixed to bring you all to Town. We have all got new Leghorn Bonnets. London is more crowded than when the Emperors were here. (This is not deposited at the Record Office - for information only.)
