- Scope and ContentLeadenham [to Mrs. W. W-G, Bushmead Priory]. Dear Nanny - went to Beckingham to see Papa [John Milnes], in bed complaining of gout. Mr. [Rev T] Brown and myself present our kind regards - our kind regards to your Governor and my aunt. You cannot imagine how happy I am in my new abode - everything is so elegantly neat and comfortable - there is nothing left for a reasonable person to wish for. Drank tea with Mrs. Barnard Smith. Has received a letter from Mr. St. Barbe. Haven't seen Polly [their sister, Mary Charlotte Chawner]. (This is not deposited at the Record Office - for information only.)
