- Scope and ContentWritten at Harrold. My dearest Mamma, I am writing to you this afternoon because I have no sewing to do. Ursula went home ill this morning and Grandpapa sent a note to Aggie to ask to go to Odell and help them. So she went back in the four-wheel with George. I am to go to Odell tomorrow and Edith on Monday. We shall go after morning school. Today is Douglas’ birthday and Aggie and I gave him two little birthday cards. We have been out for a walk today and we went after tea and we went up the Carlton Road and the water looked like a sea. Please do not forget to bring my work home for I am longing to do some. I am sorry the weather has not been fine so that you and Auntie could go out. Cousin Annie came to see us last night and she stayed with Miss Jones until nine o’clock. Give my love to Pollie and Uncle and Auntie and tell them that I want to see them very much. I remain my dear Mamma Your loving child May
