  • Scope and Content
Upper Seymour St. [to Miss Gery, Bushmead Priory] Last operation at the beginning of March. Congratulations on happy choice you have made - a more worthy man [Rev Hugh Wade, later Wade-Gery] does not exist. "I have long thought the good Soul had a smirking kindness for you but never seriously so" till the last time of his being in Town when his hurrying down to the St. Neots Ball because he had promised to meet the Miss Gerys was a convincing proof of it. "My little man" [Thomas Welby Northmore, her son] has already sat for his picture - Mr. Peters has made us a present of it. We expect the arrival of three or four teeth.
