- Scope and ContentUpper Seymour St.. Spent an evening with Aunt Monoux. Very good of Bushmead to suffer you to be absent so long. Fashion "would advise you to trim it with black rather than white, as I think it may give it a graver cast, and at your time of life you should be careful not to wear any thing that carries the appearance of youth or Gaiety". Glad Mr Selby is going to take unto himself a Rib, and hope the Rib will prove an agreeable neighbour to your Mother and sisters. I hear it is one of the Bishop of Norwich's daughters. Am very stout. Dr Dunn is the physician who is going to attend me during my confinement. The De Butts [Mary and Dr Samuel] have sailed for Philadelphia.
