My grandfather went with him. My father and mother set forwards for Bath they were to go to London to take my Sister to school. The three youngest are here. Called on Mrs. [Mary] De Butts, she told me that laying aside a Guinea the Doctor [Samuel De Butts] had recieved the other day at Belton he had not had a fee of two Months, but don't mention this. I have been at two plays - Robin Hood and Robinson Crusoe; also Dryden's Tempest and the Beggar on Horseback. Have been at another concert. After it was over we stood up near twenty couple. My Partner Mr. Wm Hall, and I danced about 16 country dances. Compliments to Miss Gardiner. (This is not deposited at the Record Office - for information only.)
