not dated; possibly refers to marriage of St Andrew St John, 14th Baron St John of Bletsoe, who married Louisa Boughton (Rouse) in 1807.

Denton House. Northmore very happy in visiting his old friends. You have been good to him in making him do the polite thing in calling at Sandy. "I hope you made him lay aside Philosphic Appearance and Cauliflower head which is sometimes so frosted with White as to dazzle the beholder." Lord Deerhurst's lost son turned up.
