    (i) Oliver Nicholas of Albourne, Wilts., esq. and St. John Brodrick, Serj. at Law. (ii) Sir Phillip Monoux of Wootton bart. (iii) Dame Alice Monoux , wife of Oliv. Nicholas and mother of Sir Ph., and Sir Robert Cotton Kt. and Phillip Cotton esq., brothers of Dame Alice and her trustees. Recites: Agreement 27 July 1705 (i) Sir Ph. Monoux (ii) Oliv. Nicholas: 1. that Nicholas owes Monoux £672, for payment of which he agreed to convey to Monoux:- -- mansion or dwelling house in Wootton occupied by Sir Ph. Monoux, and £100 p.a. worth of land in Wooton, part of jointure of Dame Alice; and also to settle on Dame Alice: -- £100 p.a. worth of land in Wootton, other part of her jointure; and also in consideration of £1,500 will convey to Monoux -- the mansion and lands to the value of £300 p.a. (part of Alice's jointure) to the use if Monoux provided he settles on his mother £100 p.a. Jointure estate has been valued as follows: for the £100 allotted to Sir Phillip with the house and gardens; the woods, £55; Biggins close, £7.10; Pond close, £14; New close, £16; Cottage occupied by - Lowell, £2.10; Cottage occupied by John Rogers, £82; Cottage and premises occupied by Wm. Ruffhed or Rufford, £3; (all p.a.) for £200, part of £300, a rent of £150 p.a. payable out of estate of Sir Phillip at Gonalston: Hovells close and Two Oak close, occupied by John Quarry; Cottage occupied by Edw. Albany; Wood Pightles occupied by Matth. Woolhead; cottage occupied by Wm. Hyde, all valued at £50 p.a.; for the other £100 p.a.: farm and land held by Wm. Nottingham, £78.10 p.a., consisting of Wood closes ploughed, 16 ac.; and Wood Pill's Sward, Gt. Selseys, Church close and the closes by Quarries; all the lands and premises late Phillip's Bargaine (except Pond and New closes):- house and 9 acres ploughed land value £7 p.a.; Hay close, £13 p.a.; cottage occupied Wm. Negas, £1.10 p.a.; for the £100 to be settled on Dame Alice: farm occupied by Steph. Pitts (50 ac.), part of Berry field to Two Ashbrookes (24ac.) some part of them ploughed, 1 ploughed close (10 ac.), and a meadow (6 acres), altogether £50 p. a.; also a farm and lands held by John Witt at £51 p.a.:- Boone close, Home close and meadow in the field, Tilekiln close and lands, and the Tilekiln. Profits of rest of joiuture lands to Nicholas: lands etc. occupied by Jas. Burton, including 1/2 the Berry field., £32 p.a., Hall close and the Meadow, £18 p.a.; Two Smith's meadow, £11 p.a., he house and close at home and 60 acres land £20. 5.p.a.; premises occupied by Geo. Flood, including Boulind Leys, £8 p.a., Fisher's close £20 p.a., the meadow in Broad mead and the Ham, £6 p.a., and Lit. close, £2 p.a.; premises occupied by Roger Furr: half Lt. Berry field, £32 p.a., Clamp close, £6; premises occupied by John Gamble and Rog. Furr: Gt. Berry field being two Hard closes, £28 p.a.; premises occupied by John Pearce; Lt. Sisleys, £10 p.a. and two Hardgrounds called part of Berry field, £14. 5 p.a., Goodman's pightle £2. 5. p.a. All the jointure land of the said Dame Alice were, on the 18 Jan. 1703/4, granted and conveyed to St. John Brodrick for 21 years, for securing payment of £805. 11. 11d., to be paid out of the £1,500 paid by Monoux to Nicholas, and after the discharge of the money, in trust for Nicholas. - -the mainson house and gardens with the premises worth £100 p.a.: the woods, Biggins close, Pond close, New close, cottage occupied by Nowell, cottage occupied by John Rogers, cottage occupied by Wm. Ruffed; the Gonalston rent charges, Howells close, 2 Oak closes. Cottage occupied by Edw. Albany, Wood pigthles, cottage occupied by Wm. Hyde. Brodwick also assigns to the Cottons: -- lands as above held by Wm. Nottingham, and Steph. Pitt's farm; to hold for the remainder of the 21 years. Witns.- Talbot, Jo. Cope, Robt. Cotton, Wm. Farrier.
