- Scope and Content(i) Sir Ph. Monoux of Wooton bart., son and heir of Sir Humph. decd. (ii) Lewis Monoux of Gray's Inn, esq. and Ph. Cotton of Lt. Connington, Cambs. esq. Recites Will of Sir Humph. q.v. Edm. and John Woodhouse refused the trust of raising £10,000 for portions for daughters etc. Chancery Decree 17, Feb. 1685, ordered that Edm. and John Woodhouse should asign the trust to Lewis Monoux and Phillip Cotton. Sir Ph. Monoux is now 21 years of age, and with Lewis M. and Cotton has sold manors of N. and S. Auston to Tho. Duke of Leeds, for £12,000. Wtns. J. Cope, John Tuffnayle, Jo. Cope Jr., Wm. Farrier.
