Sir John Croft, Sir Robt. Newdigate kts., Tho. Anscell and Fra. Crawley esqs., commissioners appointed to settle, decreed at Ampthill, 2 Apr. 1612, that a new feoffment should be made. This was not done. The old feoffment was lost and it could not be rightly ascertained who were the feoffees, but it was decided that the right remained with Geo. Gregory sr. and Ric. Symons, and a decree was made at Toddington, 23 Apr. 1631, by Tho. E. of Cleveland, Sir Edw. Duncombe, Sir Tho. Cheney and Sir Geo. Russel kts., that Gregory and Symons should make the new feoffment. The dispute bewteen Hillersden and the town still continued, and was depending bewteen Gregory sr., plt., and Tho. Vinsent, exor. of Hillersdon, and was referred to 2 arbitrators, Robt.
