- Scope and ContentWelbourn [ Mrs. Wade Gery, William Gerys Esqr., Bushmead Priory]. Has had no more intelligence from America. Glad little boy has recovered from inoculation "your being with him at Mr. Sutton's House during the operation and its effects, must have given you great comfort". Glad you have spent time agreeably since you left Newark. My brother [Richard Welby] says Aunt [Selina] Monoux has recovered from her accident by fire, and is also sad that Mr. [Thomas Augustus] Northmore is about to leave London. Hope Mr. [William] Gery's health perfectly recovered. Imagine your sisters intend partaking of the amusements of Grantham Races - hope the assemblies are better than in the past few years. Compliments to Miss Garden. (This is not deposited at the Record Office - for information only.)
