- Scope and ContentWelbourn [to Mrs. Wade Gery, Newark] Have lately received a letter from my sister De Butts. Distressing. The Doctor and family arrived at their new habitation on the 12th August situation not far from Trent Hall (the seat of Mr. De Butts). Fevers and ague. Birth of a daughter Millicent. Imagine your little Boy begins to know father, mother and aunts. My brother [Richard Welby] in London. Aunt [Selina] Monoux not so well. Mr. [Thomas Augustus] Northmore very well, and his little boy [Thomas Welby Northmore] is at school in Hampstead. Inherits much of his poor mother's constitution. Heard nothing of the Denton Family.
