Bushmead Priory [to mother still at Ramsgate] Glad she is well - sorry to hear bad an account of Mary Hannah. All are well at Bolnhurst and Colmworth. Colmworth church was broken into last Friday, but nothing much taken. I took the liberty of taking your carriage horses and man about a week ago to call at the Castle [ie Kimbolton castle] - Duke and Duchess [of Manchester] very gracious. Before that we went to Cliffe and spent a day or two with Berkely. Boys both well. Fever round about. ( Also note on back from Ann Wade-Gery.)
