- Scope and ContentDear Sister. Yesterday at a large party - the play tonight Richard the 3rd, and a farce, Blue Devils. Wish to get to Beckingham. Mrs. Sikes and I walked to Winthrope (Winthorpe) to call upon Mrs. Pocklington. Obliged to walk in Pattins; Various social occasions - food. Mr. Robinson does not come to the fair tomorrow as there is one at Spalding. Asks after children. "There has been Vantuen (vingt-et-un) at some of the Parties I have been at" but I never chose to play as they playd much too high. Also Quadrille and whist. Have called at Dr. Milnes. All stock very dear at fair last Monday. (This is not deposited at the Record Office - for information only.)
