    Aged and infirm but of sound mind. To be buried in parish of Soulbury. - To obedient daughter Joan Meade, her heirs and assigns for ever one equal third of all lands in the parishes of Great Brickhill and Bletchley now in the possession of Richard Carter. The division to be made by friend Sir Peter Terryll, brother Matthew Meade, cousin Richard Wigg and friend William Adams the elder. - To kind and obedient daughter Sarah Meade, her heirs and assigns for ever one equal third. - To younger daughters Rebecca Meade and Mary Meade the other remaining equal third. - to eldest and dutiful son William Meade all those entailed lands in Mursley - pasture called hither pasture and the meadow adjacent on the Southward part, all common lands and fields, messuage in which testator now dwells and close of pasture adjoining. - To loving son Matthew Meade all those two Manors in Totternhoe alias Totternhall in the County of Bedford together with all lands etc in Totternhoe, Eaton, Whipsnade and Kensworth he and his heirs paying yearly the annual rent charge of £20 to loving and dear wife Joane Mead to be paid to her during her life by four equal quarterly payments. - To wife Joane power to claim six pence for every day any of the quarterly payments be unpaid. Wife to surrender unto son Robert and his heirs all right, title and interest to lands in Soulbury, Leighton Beaudesert alias Buzard and Linchstate within 3 months of death of testator. - To son John, to whom I have already given a thousand pounds the sum of twenty shillings to buy him a ring. - To son Samuel so much money as together with what I shall have given him since the writing of this will to the sum of £1000, and in case I shall have giving him £1000 then same as to son John. - To son Robert all lands etc in Leighton Buzzard and freehold lands in Soulbury, Linchslade, Southcott alias Circott paying yearly to wife Joane the annual rent charge of £20 per annum for life in four equal payments. - To son Francis the reversion and inheritance of all those freehold and fee simple lands in Mursley more particularly specified in the deed of my wifes jointure, bequest to take effect immediately after wife's decease 'whom I pray to be kind to him in his maintenance and education if he prove a vertuous man.' Joane Meade sole executrix during her life and son William sole executor after her death, if William dead then Matthew. Executor to raise from personal estate £400 a piece for two youngest daughters for the increase of their respective portions if they marry with consent of their mother or any three of my six eldest children. - 20 shillings a piece to five poor widows of the Parish of Soulbury, the widow of Robert Panther to be one of them the others to be at the direction of my wife on the advice of my hearty friend Mr Thomas Turney of Hollendon. - 20 shillings a piece to give poor widows of the parishes of Morsley and Great Brickhill nominated by wife.
