Photocopy of Bedford Borough Police Conduct Book, with pages arranged in alphabetical order by surname, and with some annotations from other sources, notably Watch Committee minutes, made on the copies. Pro-forma entries usually give full name, number, date of birth, height, date joined, previous occupation, any breaks in service (e.g military), date of offence (details, by whom reported, punishment and remarks); date of distinguished conduct, (details, amount of reward/promotion, remarks), date pensioned, amount of pension and details of increments. Occasionally dates of death are noted. Date of birth and years of service are given in the descriptions at item level
