Day 24 Apr. 1648, provided that brother in law John Thurgood receives 40s. rent per annum of Nic. Day for the maintenance, education etc. of son Thomas to 16 years. To Judith, 2nd dau., 1 ac. land with the schoolhouse, in Southill, in Church field., land of John Keeling esq. East., Sir Edw. Fish West., abutting North ground of Hen. Clark late decd.; also £10 to be 'put forth' to increase her portion; also brass pan, 1 pewter platter,1 flexen sheet, 1 holland pillowbeare, 1 pr. of wearing sheets, 1 coffer in the loft, a warming pan, a little pestle and morter, a kneading trough, a woollen wheel. To Margt. Day, youngest dau., £20 at 21, to be put forth to increase her portion; 1 pewter platter, 1 flexen sheet, 1 flexen pillowbeare, 1 pr. wearing sheets, 1 coffer, 1 wheel and 1 salting trough. To Eliz. Hills, eldest dau., 'my little brass pan', 1 flaxen sheet, and ' my gristed bullock'. Remainder to Fra. Day, youngest (sic) son., exor. Overseer John Thurgood, to whom 10s. Wtns. Robt. Bromsall, Sus. Barfoot.
