    Sends receipt for money. Discusses garden. Big gale day before yesterday and two shocks of an earthquake at Seaforth. Has not heard of Horace since March. "We got a sight of B.P when we were down town on Saturday... He looked quite well & has evidently quite recovered from his starving at Mafeking..". " Dr. W. is off to Spain for a month when the medical Assoc. meets at Madrid. The ? association is to meet in Rhodesia in 1905 by which time the railway to Zambia will be finished and a hotel built close to the Victoria Falls." Hope Gertrude has had good news of Mrs Johnson and that Edith is better. Family mangaging fairly well with only one maid and a charwoman, "and I am very weary of it. It seems so impossible to get two at this time". Reciept enclosed
