    Family are all well. Has done sums father left when he went away. Mama sends her love. Compliments from Mr Garrard and Mrs Humphrey. end: from wife, Theresa: Mr Green has just called and writer and children will meet John at Mr Green's house or at Newport at the coaches. Mrs Higgins is very poorly. Club feast is on Friday. John not to bother about writer's bonnet as she can get one in the country. Shepherd and his dog have been bitten by a mad dog which has gone off to Charlton, "I desired he would Hang his Dog which he has done and is going to have a drink for himself..." Mr Gibbard and Mr Hubbard called this morning. Writer is surprised hoops are so much but feels she must have one real cornelian and doesn't mind about other.
